Afterwards, the library will be screening the new Oscar-winning film Gravity at 6:30pm. We’ll also be showing Frozen on Friday the 25th!  Lots of good movies this week.

Next week w have a special event coming up for comic book fans: Celebrate Comics At Your Library takes place April 30th at 4:30pm, in partnership with Double Midnight Comics. We’ll be meeting in the library’s Teen Zone to chat about our favorite comics!  Costumes optional.

High School Students - Poetry Workshop Reminder

Posted on April 10, 2014 at 6:13 PM by Anna (Concord Public Library)

Richard BlancoWe're hoping to see lots of high school students at the poetry workshop next week (April 16)!
It's quite exciting to be hosting a nationally renowned poet.  Richard Blanco will be running the workshop from 3:00 - 4:30 pm, and will also be doing an evening reading at 7:00 (teens also very welcome at that event).

More information about both of these events, which are being sponsored by the Concord Public Library Foundation, can be found on the library's online calendar.

For questions, contact Patti Baum or George Geers (785-4811).
