Concord Parks & Recreation offers a variety of programming throughout the year for children 18 months – 5 years old.
Ballet & Tap ages 2-5 years old: Beginner ballet & tap is a combination class that will assist your preschooler in developing rhythm and coordination through basic ballet and tap shuffles. Instruction is provided by Carolyn Silva-Coskren of Dance Inspirations and her staff.
Toddler Open Gym 18 months – 3 years old: This non-instructional program allows toddlers and their parents to explore various activities including a ball pit, balance beam, bean bag toss and much more! All participants should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers with non-marking soles.
Lil Chef’s Club ages 3-5 years old: If your little kiddo loves helping out in the kitchen, then they’re sure to enjoy this program! With help from a parent and instructor, children will make edible kitchen creations that they’ll be able to take home (if there’s any left!). Recipes will also be available so that parents and children can share their snacks with friends and family.
Craft with Me ages 3-5 years old: Let your little one indulge in paint, glitter, and glue without having to worry about a messy house! We will explore different areas, such as painting, drawing and cutting. With the help of a guardian, children will discover how to use their creativity in an artistic setting. An adult must be present at the time of the class.
Nature Babes infants – 18 months old: Join Erin, a.k.a “Mama Girzone”, and explore the local trails this spring with your little one in a front/back carrier. Get to know other mothers and fathers as you enjoy the outdoors and some snuggle time with your baby. The benefits of this 6 week hiking series are endless: fresh air, parent & child bonding, new friendships and last but certainly not least, exercise!
Soccer Fundamentals ages 4- 6 years old (not in 1st grade): The focus of this program is on the FUNdamentals of soccer. Children will begin to learn the basics of soccer and team sports. This is a co-ed program led by volunteer coaches.
