  1. Road Load Limit Postings

    March 16 - April 25

“No Trucking – Load Limit 9 Tons” spring road limit signs will be posted throughout Concord, Monday, March 16, 2015, to prepare for the spring thaw. The load limit posting is weather and road condition dependent, but will likely remain in place into April. Restrictions will continue as long as conditions require. Please visit for more information and for a map and list of the roads that will be posted in Concord.

  2. Hydrant Flushing

    April 20, 6:30 AM - May 15, 3:00 PM

The Highway and Utilities Division of Concord General Services will begin it’s annual hydrant flushing throughout Concord Monday, April 20. For the next few weeks, there will be three crews going out to scheduled areas to flush hydrants to remove any sediment from water distribution pipes. This process will help to maintain Concord’s water quality and also check water pressure. Residents should avoid doing laundry when hydrant flushing is occurring in their area. Concord water consumers may experience low pressure and discolored water during their scheduled flushing time. If discoloration occurs, run your tap water on cold until the water runs clear. There will be a new flushing schedule posted each week on the City’s website indicating the impacted areas. Be sure to check the City’s website each week at, or follow Concord General Services on Facebook or Twitter, for the newest flushing schedule.

  3. Spring Leaf Collection

    April 27 - June 5

The City of Concord's Spring Leaf Collection is scheduled to begin Monday, April 27, 2015 and continue through June 5, 2015 (excluding weekends). Concord residents with curbside trash and recycling collection can place an unlimited amount of leaves and grass clippings curbside by 7:00 a.m. on their collection day for disposal. Residents participating in the Spring Leaf Collection must use biodegradable yard waste bags or labeled rigid containers. For those who do not have curbside trash and recycling collection, or who wish to take care of their own leaves, may bring their leaves to Earth Materials Recycling Center, located near Fort Eddy Road. Visit for more information and for an instructional video.
