  1. Hydrant Flushing

    April 17, 2017, 6:30 AM - May 26, 2017, 3:00 PM

The Highway and Utilities Division of Concord General Services will begin it’s annual hydrant flushing throughout Concord Monday, April 17, 2017. For the next several weeks, there will be three crews going out to scheduled areas to flush hydrants to remove any sediment from water distribution pipes. This process helps maintain Concord’s water quality and also check water pressure. Residents should avoid doing laundry when hydrant flushing is occurring in their area. Concord water consumers may experience low pressure and discoloration during their scheduled flushing time. If discoloration occurs, run your tap water on cold until the water runs clear. Be sure to visit www.concordnh.gov/springoperations for a new flushing schedule each week indicating the impacted areas.

  3. Infrastructure Week

    May 15, 2017 - May 19, 2017, All Day

Infrastructure Week is an annual event hosted by the Infrastructure Week organization to promote the importance of investing in infrastructure. Infrastructure is vital to providing communities with basic resources, such as water, sewer, roads, bridges, railways, airports, energy, and broadband. Infrastructure is the foundation of public safety, jobs, quality of life, and even national security – yet, the nation’s infrastructure is in need of improved maintenance and system upgrades to meet existing needs. Although Concord remains on the path as a leading community in New Hampshire to invest in infrastructure, the community is encouraged to remember the importance of infrastructure and to advocate for infrastructure investment. Find more information at www.concordnh.gov/generalservices.
