Family Storytime
Family Storytime includes stories, fingerplays, songs, and fun, all designed to strengthen children's reading or pre-reading skills.  All ages are invited; groups are welcome.
Family Storytime meets every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Blanchard Room. Registration is not required.

Lapsit Storytime
LAPSIT is designed for babies up to 24 months and a parent or caregiver. The 30 minute session includes songs, movement, finger rhymes and stories.
Each session is carefully planned to stimulate your baby’s mind and senses while laying a foundation for learning to read.

Toddler Tales Storytime
Designed for children two - three years of age with a parent or caregiver, TODDLER TALES offers fun activities to help your toddler prepare to learn to read. Together, you and your toddler will share stories, songs, finger rhymes and movement to stimulate your child’s mind and senses.

Paws for Pages
Paws for Pages is a program designed to help kids improve their reading and communication skills. Both Lily and Sparkle are gentle, well-trained dogs certified through Therapy Dogs International, who will be on-hand with their owners to listen to children read aloud.

Children who attend will each have 15 minutes of Lily’s or Sparkle’s undivided attention to practice reading.
  • Lily, a Labrador Retriever, is at the library on the first and third Thursdays of the month, 3:30 - 5:00.
  • Sparkle, a Wheaton Terrier is here on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, 3:30 - 5:00.

Paws for Pages is held in the Children’s Room. Pre-registration is not required.

Lego Club
The after-school Lego Club meets in the Blanchard Room, giving fans a chance to create with other builders. Each month, participants will be given a new building challenge and a chance to make new friends. Projects are then displayed for visitors to see.
Lego Club meets on the second Thursday of the month at 3:30 p.m. Registration is not required.

Castaway Challenge
Each month, imaginators will repurpose castaway items to invent an object based on a theme.
Castaway Challenge is held on the fourth Thursday of the month at 3:30 p.m. in the Blanchard Room.
