Drinking Water Week
Drinking Water Week
We work hard to make sure the Concord community receives clean and safe drinking water all day, every day. In celebration of the American Water Works Association's National Drinking Water Week, we encourage you to learn more about your water and read our 2016 Water Quality Report.
.

Spring Leaf Collection

Concord residents with curbside trash and recycling collection can begin participating in our annual Spring Leaf Collection starting Monday, April 25, 2016. Participating residents must place leaves and grass clippings curbside by 7:00 a.m. on their trash collection day in biodegradable yard waste bags or labeled rigid containers. Leaves can also be taken to Earth Materials Recycling Center. Visit www.concordnh.gov/leafcollection for more information.

Hydrant Flushing

Hydrant flushing is occurring for the next several weeks to remove any sediment from water distribution pipes to maintain water quality and clarity. Visit www.concordnh.gov/springoperations to view our schedule of impacted areas. Water customers may experience low water pressure and discolored water if flushing is occurring in their area. Residents should not do laundry if hydrant flushing is occurring in their area.

Concord General Services Divisions

Street Maintenance
Road maintenance and repair are significant responsibilities of the Highways and Utilities Division of General Services. Potholes, paving, existing signs, sidewalks, water distribution, sewer collection, winter operations, dead animal removal, fall leaf collection, and the Sustainable Tree Program are all responsibilities of the Highways and Utilities Division. Street lights are maintained by Unitil and traffic lights are maintained by Concord Fire Department.

Trash & Recycling
The City of Concord currently contracts with Casella for all trash and recycling services. Visit the trash and recycling page for more information on our pay-as-you-throw program, single-stream recycling, household hazardous waste disposal, solid waste management, trash holidays, and for the route map.

Water Treatment & Distribution
Our Water Treatment Plant operates to deliver superior drinking water from Penacook Lake. The utility billing division generates and distributes invoices to the users of the city's water and sewer lines. The water and sewer utilities are fully supported through user charges.

Wastewater Treatment & Sewer Collection
Our Wastewater Treatment Division and Highway and Utilities Division provide services for the collection and treatment of wastewater for Concord and portions of Bow and Boscawen.

Arena
The city's ice arena is the Douglas N. Everett Arena located at 15 Loudon Road in Concord. The Everett Arena is the home of Concord Youth Hockey, Concord High Boy's and Girl's Hockey, Bishop Brady Boy's and Girl's Hockey, and Bow High School Boy's Hockey. It is also open for public skate during scheduled times.
