Architectural Design Review
Architectural Design Review Committee Process
The Architectural Design Review Committee (ADRC) is a subcommittee of the Planning Board whose main purpose is to advise the Board in the design review of applications. The ADRC reviews architecture, lighting, landscaping, and signs and provides recommendations to the Planning Board, which the Board often incorporates as conditions of their Architectural Design Review approval.

The Planning Board relies upon the ADRC to help to improve appearance of Concord’s built environment. The Committee is comprised of Concord residents with expertise in architecture, graphic design, landscape architecture, and historic preservation.

Architectural Design Review is a requirement of the following applications and/or permits:

Applicants may also request a preliminary consultation with the ADRC prior to filing a formal application. Please contact the Planning Division to schedule a pre-application consultation with the ADRC.
